Latvijas autoceļu uzturētājs participated in the Mobility and Transport Industry Trade Mission to Vienna, organised by the Latvian Investment and Development Agency (LIAA).
The trade mission took place alongside the international industry event International Mobility Days (IMD), providing opportunities to engage in business meetings with industry companies and public sector representatives, as well as to explore the latest trends in the mobility sector.
During the mission, LAU representatives visited the IMD exhibition, presentations and B2B matchmaking sessions, gaining insight into modern approaches to road maintenance and traffic management, while also strengthening professional contacts with leading industry companies and institutions in Austria and across Europe.
As part of the official programme, LAU representatives also visited the infrastructure facilities of Austria’s national motorway construction and maintenance operator, ASFINAG, attended C-ITS demonstrations and examined Austria’s experience in road maintenance. LAU Chairman of the Management Board, Vilnis Vitkovskis, shared Latvia’s experience in road maintenance, emphasising the importance of sustainable and technologically advanced solutions.
Participation in the trade mission provided LAU with valuable opportunities to broaden its professional outlook, establish new cooperation contacts and assess innovative solutions that may be adapted in the future to meet Latvia’s road maintenance needs.
